  • Making Instructions: Preheat 1 inch of oil to 350 in your fry pan or electric skillet. Combine Quick Mix, Baking Mix and milk or water in a medium bowl. Stir to blend. On a lightly floured surface, knead about 15 times until the dough is smooth. Roll the dough into a pie crust. Cut into 5-inch-diameter circles. Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of fillon on half of each circle. Fold the dough over and press the edges firmly with fork tines to dip in flour. Fry in hot oil for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Makes 8–10 tunrover pies.
  • Icing: For the icing, simply mix powdered sugar and milk to make a thin icing. Once cooled drizzle icing over the turnovers. You may replace the icing with a light sprinkle of white sugar over warm turnovers.
