Last Sunday, after I had cleaned up breakfast and marinated the pork tenderloin to put in the smoker later, I turned on the mid-morning football game.
While I sat down at the kitchen table staring out the window on this glorious, beautiful day, I started to daydream of baking, as I often do.
You see, baking to me is a creative expression and also a challenge to do something just once, get it right, and make whatever I have in the oven come out to perfection. There are two kinds of perfection in my book of baking: the kind that will be a perfect bake, according to the Food Network professionals, where the crumb is excellent, the flavor superb, and the bake is light and fluffy. The other kind of perfection is when the aroma fills the entire house, tempting everyone to indulge in a sweet treat. It’s the kind of baking that brings joy and satisfaction to both the baker and those who get to enjoy the delicious results.
When it was time to put the pork tenderloin on the smoker, I found the inspiration I needed to pick my dessert and start baking. Feeling like I needed some chocolate to go with this spicy pork tenderloin, I decided to make the Chocolate Cake Brownie with chocolate frosting, thinking this would definitely scratch my sweet tooth cravings. I quickly gathered all the ingredients and began preheating the oven, excited to indulge in the rich and decadent flavors of the chocolate cake brownie. As the aroma of the pork tenderloin filled the air, I eagerly anticipated the perfect balance of spicy and sweet that awaited me.
To make this easy, wonderful chocolate cake brownie dessert, it’s very simple; all you will need is

Baking powder
* Vanilla
* chocolate chips
13×9 cake pan
Mixer
For the frosting
* semi-sweet chocolate baking bar
* Powdered sugar
* butter
The best part is when you can frost this wonderful brownie, because I am a big fan of licking the frosting off the spoon. It takes me back to my childhood, as this was the real treat when my mom would bake.
Cut the brownies into squares and serve!
