French Onion Soup

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 15 min Cook Time 20 min Rest Time 5 min Total Time 40 mins Servings: 4

Description

When your onions are cooked and the soup is bubbly and ready to eat   slice your cheese. Ladle your soup into bowls, and lay one or two slices into the soup. The cheese will melted and super delicious in each bite!

Instructions

  1. Prepare Onions

    Thinly slice your onions.

    Add to a pan with butter and cook until fragrant and medium brown, adding butter and sprinkle with sugar and salt.

    Stir well.

     

  2. Prepare the Soup

    In your soup pot with the onions, add the beef stock.

    Add the bay leaves, thyme, onion powder and black pepper.

    Simmer until very hot

  3. Finishing Touch

    Thinly slice your cheese, whether its swiss, provolone or mozzarella.

    Ladle your soup into bowls, and lay one or two slices into the soup.

    The cheese will melted and super delicious in each bite!

Note

I like to eat my soup with a couple pieces of french bread toast. 

Dip it in and grab some cheese and onions!!   Beyond amazing
