Dirty Mashed Potatoes

  1. Prepare Potatoes

    Wash and slice potatoes into nice sized pieces

    Boil the potatoes until nice and soft in a large stock pot

    When done dump hot water out of pot, and rinse potatoes with cold water



  2. Mash potatoes

    Mash potatoes into small pieces with a wooden spoon, or fork, whatever gets the job done. 


  3. Adding milk and cream

    Add sour cream, cream cheese, butter, and garlic to mashed potatoes.

    Using a hand mixer ( if you don't have one, you may transfer the potatoes to your food processor or your stand mixer).

    Mix until nice and creamy and smooth, adding butter to taste, and sour cream to taste along the way.



  4. Serve and Eat!

    When the potatoes are to the consistency you want them, whether its chunky, or creamy smooth, spoon into a serving bowl, adding salt and pepper and the chopped green onions the layers, mix well.

    Return to stock pot and reheat the potatoes, or using a microwave safe bowl, reheat.
